I wear many hats – I am an educator, researcher, an artist and a parent.  I am passionate about food justice, health equity and participatory education. Currently, I am a Project Coordinator for the Guys Can Cook! project with the Four Villages Community Health Centre and a second year PhD student at the Faculty of Environmental Studies, York University. I study health equity and justice issues in urban environment, in particular as it applies to immigrant population. I feel exceptionally privileged to be able to contribute to the Guys Can Cook! project as it strives to support  the development of food skills among male youth and re/connect them with local sustainable food systems. Many of the youth we work with represent immigrant youth and this food centred project nourishes their sense of belonging both literally and metaphorically.
